Solo Horn with score, two pianos, and two percussion - $43
The Solo Horn part is available for performance with a reduced ensemble of two pianos, mallets/percussion, and drum set/percussion. Includes score and parts.
Mallets/percussion instrumentation includes: Cymbals, suspended; Small shakers (caxixi, eggs); Xylophone; Ratchet (cog rattle); Large tam tam; Guiro; Triangle; Tambourine; Cymbals, piatti; Glockenspiel.
Drum set/percussion instrumentation includes: Drum set; Small triangle; Castanets; China cymbal.

When my older brother Bill retired from 35 years of teaching horn at the University of North Texas he asked me to write 'something like a ten minute whiz bang piece for solo horn and concert band.' So...I wrote High Wire! Ta-da!
Bill's playing and wry sense of humor has always been an inspiration for me. He was principal horn of the Dallas Opera Orchestra and performed as principal horn of the Royal Opera Orchestra of Stockholm, Dallas Symphony, Dallas Bach Society, and many others. He has appeared as a soloist with regional orchestras, as a featured artist at three International Horn Workshops and been a guest artist at many regional horn events. He was also Editor of The Horn Call for seventeen years.
For this piece the horn soloist is cast in the role of a high wire artist, defying death at every turn but also distracted by the allure and glamour of the profession.
