Lewis Johnson was born in Washington D.C. on July 10, 1977. He began his early musical training on violin when he was six years old. At the age of 8, he was introduced to the horn via the D.C. Youth Orchestra Program and has played horn ever since. Lewis received his BM in performance from Florida State University in 2001 and is currently pursuing a BME from F.S.U. as well. Lewis has studied horn with Kurt Snyder, William Capps, William Penn, Michelle Stebleton and David Cripps. His composition and arranging studies have been with Maria Rodriguez.
