Raised in Laredo, TX, Jesus Mendoza Espinoza is currently receiving his B.M in Music Performance at Texas A&M University-Kingsville under the direction of Dr. Kyle Millsap.

During his time at TAMUK, he has received two Downbeat Magazine Student Music Awards with Jazz Band I and performed on an album with the TAMUK Trumpet Ensemble. He also performs regularly with the South Texas Jazz Connection.

In his spare time, he enjoys video games, reading, and writing poetry.
